OJ Hernández is a novelist and pastor in Nashville, Tennessee. He writes about succession, silence, loyalty, and the Church that remains — the slow cost of delayed truth inside rooms that still call themselves family.
His first novel, The Mantle and the Wound, follows a Southern church through a succession that looked finished and was not. It is inspired by true events. It is still fiction. He wrote it that way on purpose: not to prosecute a congregation, but to sit with what communities inherit when they protect a name.
He lives and works in Nashville. He writes for readers, successors, and anyone who has loved a church and carried its silence.
